There is something just perfect about this song.

unholyrhythms:

In order to see the boundless sky, we stretch the skin underneath our eyes wide. Wanting to drink in the rays of the sun, we open our arms to take in the pounding, tyrannical rays. Soft sounds of inviting anguish escape our parted lips - mouths distort with sublime distress. Brows furrow. Eyelids tightly fold. Unable to abandon the memories which torment us, we slowly begin to disintegrate. Sinking. Amalgamate. Wanting nothing more than to obtain your adoration, I strive to keep us afloat. Slapping and striking. Gnawing and stabbing. My sharpened nails penetrate your pallid, glistening skin. Membranous unity. Turbulent melding.

Sweet, lo-fi pop from Japan’s Super VHS. “Midnight Dream” is charming in its unpolished, unfinished, imperfections. With indistinguishable vocals, steadily strumming guitar, and oh-so familiar melody. It is a nectarous nod to summer - welcoming the warm breezes and comfort of shade.

Bonus: ♫ Super VHS - Muscle Disco

File under: lo-fi, indie, Japan, summer is here again
